It’s beautiful and warm outside, you can smell the salt in the air but we are all so short on sleep that lazing around the hotel seems like, again, the best thing to do.

Kelly and I barely slept a wink all night courtesy of two little boys who were brought to us by the words ‘jet’ and ‘lag’.

All things remaining the same this should be the entry of Wednesday the 29th. Thanks to the International dateline though we were able to re-live Tuesday the 28th so here we are.

First things first, some advice. The next time you are traveling be sure, if at all possible, to take infants with you.

Make no mistake, tomorrow might be the day but we still have 140 different things we need to do. and it took us all day to do about half of them.

We spent most of the morning packing (still) and making sure we had all required paperwork, passports, visas etc.

The countdown is on… We saw most of Kelly’s family for the last time today. It was Ella’s 3rd birthday party…

Along the same lines as Wednesday, yesterday and today have proven to be a steep learning curve in the world of mobile technology.

Whomever said technology was supposed to make our lives easier forgot that before it does, the set-up of such would make our lives a living hell.

Kelly and I set out early again this morning to get a list of some 35 things done. We succeeded on about half of them which I must say was a whole lot better than I expected.

Do you ever get the feeling that you’ve forgotten something? Or when facing the prospect of being away for so long that you are GOING to forget something?

We’ve used most of this week to continue sorting out our flights and accommodation. I’m surprised how difficult it is to arrange 115 consecutive nights accommodation in Green Bay.

With less than two weeks now before we depart we began to consider the different things that we’ll need for six months away.

We booked our flights today, Sydney to Los Angeles at least. At almost $8,000 it was easily the biggest decision of our trip to this point.

A few weeks ago we accepted an offer from a penpal of ours in Green Bay to share brochures, classifieds and pamphlets of the local areas to help us in advance of the our move…
