Today I began the search for some type of long term accommodation. The serious search that is. I have been looking for a little while but nothing real serious.

Kelly and I set off quite early this morning to interview with the US Consulate for our visas. We do so without the boys as we’re not quite sure what we’re in for.

Preparing for our interview at the US consulate in the city tomorrow is perhaps the most daunting thing we’ve had to do so far.

I paid $11 this morning to talk with the US Consulate Visa Assistance Line for some advice as to what we could do re: the appointment issue. The phone call started a little something like this:

We made an appointment (14 September) with the US Consulate to obtain our visas this morning after somewhat of a surprise.

A lot has happened since the first time we spoke about the idea of moving to Green Bay and today so let’s just start at the beginning shall we.

It’s been almost five weeks and we are seriously considering this idea still. It seems like one of those things you talk about but never actually do.

Last night, with the boys being watched by her mum, Kelly and I went out for dinner to discuss this idea further.

I was having lunch with my brother in law at a pub in the city (Sydney). I was working as a Sales Executive, he was a programmer and we weren’t particularly excited about either.
