The Panic

I paid $11 this morning to talk with the US Consulate Visa Assistance Line for some advice as to what we could do re: the appointment issue. The phone call started a little something like this: “Hi welcome to the US Consulate Visa Assistance Line what type of Credit Card will you be using today?” She didn’t even ask me how i was or what the weather was like. I couldn’t help but think that if this was a date, i so wouldn’t have stayed for dessert. 

So anyway, thecall came after a sleepless night of wondering whether I had left our run a little late for this year. After taking down some contact details to explain our situation via email (I could have done that without paying $11 by the way) I draft our sob-story and wonder how many weeks it’ll be before I receive a response.

My cynicism is answered almost immediately. We have been re-booked from September 14 to next week, July 31. Hallelujah. Loving this idea again.
