Where Does the Snow Go?
So the snow is almost gone. We cannot believe it. Honestly, once the snow fell we thought it’d be here forever. (Forever being the first week of February at least.) Having said that the temperature, like yesterday, was wonderful. I sure could get used to this. If the road would just dry up a little and the fog would disappear we’d be set.
On the roads being wet, I’m curious, where does all the snow go and how doesn’t the grass die? I know I could Google the answers to both but it wouldn’t be as fun then. Seriously, I know that snow is just water but that’s a heck of alot of water to absorb into the ground isn’t it? Sure evaporation plays it’s part too which has probably led to the fog all over town but as a first timer it’s amazing to see that amount of snow just disappear over a two week period.
On a football note, this being Sunday after all, I saw some of both of the Wild Card games today and whilst I’m not concerned about the AFC results, did anybody else see LaDanian Tomlinson’s game winning touchdown? He fair dinkum could have leaped tall buildings in that single bound. I know the best running backs have the ability to jump the line of scrimmage but man, the height and airtime he got to score on that play was amazing. Even Kel couldn’t believe it.
As for the Giants, Bucs game I take back what I said about the Giants. I would also like to take back all of the terrible things I said about Eli in week 2 when I was there. Dear Eli, I think you’re way better than your brother, quite possibly the second best quarterback in the history of the league even. (I say that for this week only though). Next week when you’re here at Lambeau I’ll welcome back the week 2 sledgings (insert smiley face here).
Like yesterday I am still secretly hoping the Cowboys capitulate next week. With any luck T.O. will need another week to recover and who knows, Tony Romo could just decide to stay in Hawaii with Jessica the way they’re going at the moment. I’ll have to find a link to a Jessica Mask for us all to wear on Sunday.
Perhaps the biggest news of the day though is that Kelly wasn’t well again and hasn’t been for the last few days. To give her a rest break and give the boys something to do we were off to the mall to destroy Shopko’s toy section again, see Luc in the first picture. Ben loves that place. The second pic is him enjoying a frozen yoghurt (he thinks’ it’s ice cream) as we play the “slap Daddy’s hand on the table as hard as you can” game. The pic just here is one of Luc thinking it’s totally hilarious also.
Do you love their hair do’s by the way? Ben’s is being held back with a bobby pin and yes, Luc has his in a Pebble’s styled pony tail. Our next trip will definitely include a visit to the choppers.
