Little Boy Recovered
Yesterday was a nothing day as we had Ben in bed for most of it as a sick little boy. Seems the air was quite thick and his little, sometimes asthma suffering body just couldn’t cope with the change. Courtesy of some quick thinking and well connected new friends we were able to set him on the right road to recovery. Thankyou again, for umpteenth time Tari and Kathy.
Today, thanks to the emergency nebulizer, was a whole lot better. Ben was fighting fit and always ready to try new things. Like getting the paper from one of these paper selling machine things. (I’m sure they have a more appropriate name than that by the way but I’ve no idea what it is.)
I’ve always wondered about these things. We don’t have them at home and in the trips we have taken to the US and Hawaii before I’ve never had the need to use one. What I don’t understand about them is that you put your 50c in, open up the door and have access to all of the papers inside. Yes I know it’s dishonest (and illegal) to take more than one but so is shoplifting and carjacking and home invasions but people still do that? Anyway, we popped our money in, took one paper out and went on our merry way.
This afternoon Kelly and I had a visit from Mike Miller of WISN fame in Milwaukee. He wanted to do an interview about how our story was unfolding and we were more than happy to do so. I did a little research to see who it was we were meeting exactly and it turns out Mike is quite the superstar in Southern Wisconsin. Having said that it was quite a thrill to meet him for the first time. If you’re in an area that receives WISN be sure to watch their Sunday night news next week or the Monday night pre-game show to the Green Bay - Denver game on the 29th.
To entertain the kids after what was a pretty boring day for them (boring in that we wouldn’t let them destroy any of the cameras or lighting Mike and his crew had brought with them) we were off to Barnes and Noble. Slowly but surely we are getting to all of the places we have been told visit and this was another. With the toy train, the kids section and a Starbucks to boot I can see alot of cold Wisconsin afternoons being spent here.
