G’day Santa Claus
I don’t know if any of you knew but Santa Claus was in town today having photos taken with the little boys and girls of Green Bay.
As such we had one very excited little boy this morning. We were up and at ‘em very early, all dressed, with breakfast eaten, to make sure that we got there before Santa had to get back to the North Pole.
Ben gave Santa the biggest little smile he could while Luc, as with most 1 year olds, wasn’t sure who the heck this guy was and why we put him on his lap. He didn’t scream like Ben did for his photo but he wasn’t entirely happy either.
Ben, when asked, told Santa he would like “just one little present please” and Kelly and I thought that was totally adorable. He asked him where his reindeer were and couldn’t wait to tell us that Santa said they were outside having a little sleep. Ahhh, the pleasures of having a 3 year old at Christmas time.
This is our first Christmas with Ben as talkative as he has become so Kelly and I are enjoying it like nothing else.
After their pictures we went Christmas shopping. The other great thing about having kids this young at Christmas time, as I’m sure most parents will agree, is that you can buy their gifts right in front of them and they wouldn’t have the foggiest it was for them. This worked a treat today.
I had a couple of interviews to do today. One with Chuck Freimund from AM1570 “The Score” and one with the ABC back in Australia. We did those at home and then relaxed a little. We tried to do some wrapping and we tried to watch some Christmas TV but for the most part we did lazy things to round out a lazy day.
