What a Whirlwind
I don’t even know where to start today.
By now most of you will have seen the photo to the left plastered across the front of The Green Bay Press Gazette. I would like to thank the Gazette for everything they have done in making Kelly, Benjamin, Lucas and Myself feel so very welcome here in Green Bay. In particular Mike who has gone out of his way to follow our story from well before we even considered following this once in a lifetime trip.
We have spoken with alot of people today, complete strangers for the most part and the reception we have been given is nothing short of amazing. There are so many warm, kind-hearted people in this town and it is a pleasure being here amongst it all.
I must say the front page did take us a little by surprise. We hadn’t seen the paper when we went down for breakfast this morning so to say it was a shock would be quite an understatement. Particularly when people were looking at it then looking at us and repeating the motion just to be sure.
We have received countless emails (of which we will most certainly respond) from well wishers and kind words of support that have re-assured us that the decision we made to come here was most definitely the right one. We have been offered things that we could never have imagined and received invitations that we would never have expected.
I slept very little last night making sure this site was up to date and as I type this it is well after midnight again. Tomorrow will be a big day for all so this is a short post on the way to some shut-eye. I’m certain over the next few days we’ll have a chance to sit down and re-count the last few days in greater detail for those of you that are keen to read on.
For now, if you didn’t see the story please see the links on the media tab and enjoy the story as much as we have today.
Go Pack.
