Seeya Later Marcogator

I was up at 430 this morning to get Marco to the airport and on his way to New York for New Years Eve. Not a bad gig if you can get it. This had me at home and wide awake by 6 so the website updates began.

Despite not doing a whole lot socially today we sure did manage to get alot of homey type stuff done. As you know, when guests pop in there’s plenty of sorting out to do once they leave so that consumed alot of the day too.

The real issue though is planning for the trip home. It dawned on us today that the next few weeks will be even more difficult than the four weeks we had prior to coming. At least then we were limited with what we had to bring, knowing that most of what we needed would be here for us to buy.

In the context of what we’re doing it’s been an absolute ball so far. I don’t think anybody could really appreciate though the amount of work that has to go into the getting here and leaving here parts of the trip. I’d forgotten how difficult it was to get here ‘cause once we’d arrived there were a million things to do and see. I seem to be remembering now and I say with a giggle, I’m not sure that I want to.

Does anybody have a teletransporter available in the first week of Feb by chance?

There were also some interesting times today trying to plan what to do over the next few weeks but that’s tough not knowing what the Packers schedule will be. I’ve taken the liberty of planning it for them and the rest of the teams if they could just follow along. Dallas will lose in the second round of the playoffs and the Championship game will be here at Lambeau. We win that of course and then all we have to worry about is a trip to Arizona. Sounds good doesn’t it?

I could talk about the plans for home plenty but I’m sure it will all come up again. At the game yesterday we met a couple of guys, Wayne (what a top bloke) and Doug. Doug (on the right) does pencil portraits (Brett is above obviously) and has them available at www.dkwood.com. I only posted his site ‘cause he didn’t ask me to and his portraits are out this world. Check them out, he has Lombardi, Lambeau, Hornung, Starr, Reggie and a whole lot more.

As for New Years Eve tonight, we didn’t do much but read our little boys their books before bed as usual. Keeping with the vein of trying to show people where we’ve come from I will post some of New Years Eve on Sydney Harbour tomorrow though.

Hoping that whatever you got up to tonight was happy and safe.
