Coming Home

As with most road trips I spent today travelling back to Green Bay. I was a little concerned today though ‘cause the temps in Green Bay were high 23F to low 10F (-5c to -12c). The thought of flying into an airport with slippery, icy runways freaked me out a little. In saying that I knew that it was only new to me. Everybody else in this part of the world has lived with weather like this and alot worse for all of their lives.

There has been talk of snow all day today and yesterday. Neither Kelly or I actually know whether we’re ready for it or not to be honest. We know we’re looking forward to it but the anticipation is really getting to us.

One thing we have learned so far is that temperatures below zero (32F) aren’t as bad as we thought they’d be. Sure it’s cold but having been warned about it for so long I think we talked ourselves into dealing with it.

Getting home, as I say after every trip is the best. Our next away game in St Louis will be great as we are all going together. It’ll be nice to get away as a family and experience a new city together again. We haven’t travelled as a foursome since New York so I can’t wait to go and see the sights, the attractions and the family museums again with Kelly and the boys.
