As I said in the opening to Thursday’s entry, it’s nice to be home and not on the road this morning. It means I can sit back and relax without having to worry about meeting times, meeting points or what flight to catch.

Kelly was off with Tezza today and tonight with a whole group of other girls getting some much needed R and R. That means, as is the case at least once a week anyway, it’s just the boys and I.

Ben had a great idea. It involved going to, wait for it.....the toy shop. If he’s like this now how is he going to be in 3 years time when he’s 6 and the word “no” is even harder to swallow? After returning some things to the library we ended up at Barnes and Noble looking at SpongeBob books and playing with their massive Thomas the tank engine set. He likes that place almost as much as the toy shop so it always works out as a happy compromise.

We left kind of late in the day and it’s getting dark so much earlier so we weren’t out for long. It was home for dinner, toy-playing and book reading.
