I’ve barely commented on the weather since being here because for the most part it’s been really nice. Today though it feels like the cold is coming. I took Ben to the YMCA as we do every Wednesday now and there is a definite chill in the air. I know that it is going to get a whole lot worse but it kind of surprised me this morning.

I have noticed that the playgroups are alot different here to the way they are at home. This has inspired me to write a “Sydney vs Green Bay” comparison entry. I’ve got a whole lot of ideas because we’ve come across so much but that’ll take some time to put together.

For now the YMCA. Things are so structured here, It feels like a little gymnast boot camp. The rolls, the balance beams and the hand stands for some reason make me feel like we’re secretly trying Ben out for some sort of pre-school Olympic team. The structure, attention to technique and encouragement all remind of those shows you see on TV where parents are pushing their kids to fulfil the dreams they were incapable of fulfilling themselves.

I don’t why I’m reminded of those shows because for the most part Ben loves going and he is very proud to be doing tummy tucks and handstands for the first time in his little life.

Back home it’s more a case of saying hi, playing with everything that’s been laid out and singing a few songs to say good-bye. You know, very luvy duvy and a whole lot of fun.....but not much else.

Anyway, he’s been so good lately that Kel took him off to meet his mate Chuck.E again while Luc and I stayed home, ate vegetable puree straight from the jar and fell asleep on warm bottles of milk.
